I swatched (for the Madtosh swatch thread, really) and remembered why I don’t make a habit of doing it…ever. The square of Stovepipe is significantly smaller than the Smokestack and not just because it lacked five stitches. I think I’ll bump the needle size up to a 7 for something slightly looser (and larger).

I think I’ll do a 15th row of the Stovepipe and call it good.

I thought the 6” border would never end! but it did! 225 sts. I’m doing the sewn bind-off because I know it will turn out just right.

Done! I need to block it, before which I should probably set the dye as a precaution. I’d be devastated if the Stovepipe bled on the Smokestack. :(

There was absolutely no bleeding, it’s incredibly soft and warm, and, after two pretty chilly months, John has yet to wear it. :P He will. Oh. He will. (He does really like it, he’s just got to have snow on the ground and a place to go dressed up).

He wore the damn thing! Yay! He looks super sexy in it too. Oh, and he knows it. ;)
