Notes

KAL with luvinthemommyhood. I’ve been pining for this top for a very. long. time.

I’m having some serious issues with the construction. I think it all stems back to my favorite pattern phrase (:P) “End with a WS row.” This means something different to every designer and I can usually figure it out based on the next row’s instruction, whether it is a RS or WS row. Here, I can’t tell, so I guessed and I either guessed wrong or I have no idea what’s going on. I need a video tutorial or something. O.O

Holey moley, there is a tutorial! I wasn’t too far off. Off to try again!

I need to be more careful about reading directions ahead. :P Nothing totally disastrous (yet), but I think the back neck might be too wide when all is said and done. If I only have to redo the left back, though, I’ll consider myself happy. Everything else is coming up roses!

The first half went swimmingly, perfect measurements, perfect short rows. The second did not. I had to fudge the final short row and do the last increase super fast, but it looks fine and should work. The only thing I changed was the bind-off. I was supposed to bind off knitwise on the wrong side row, but I bound off purlwise on the wrong side row. I think it looks tighter and cleaner.
