I’m going to throw the whole cardi in hopes I’ll get an extra half inch to an inch of ease from the 32.5” bust. If not, I’ll add a few stitches while increasing.

This isn’t the clearest pattern in the world. It doesn’t explicitly tell you what to do with the yo 4 in row 16 of the chart, so I’m doing k/p/k/p into the yo to add four stitches. There’s also a garter selvedge on only one side when you do the ribbing, but the second magically appears when you switch to the stockinette portion. Mysteries or magic? I’m just glad I’m an experienced enough sweater knitter to work it all out.

It’s beautiful so far! I love it! My gauge is right on, which I think will translate to ever so slightly larger (i.e., perfect) once blocked.

I started a sleeve a few inches before I finished the body to the armpits and it is so tiny! I can’t fit my thumb through the cuff! I’ll have to knit the sleeve as per the next size up.

Things that happen when you work on multiple projects at once and put them all down for short spurts of time: forget which size you are doing and follow the directions incorrectly to finish the sleeves. I thought I was making myself the xs for some reason, so increased both sleeves to the s size instead of the m size (though I managed to cast on the m number before I forgot everything about this cardi). The good news is that I don’t have to do any fancy footwork in the yoke because my numbers for the s size are spot on. :) I just hope my sleeves aren’t impossibly tight around my upper arms.
