This pattern screamed to be made in Stellar Sock Yarn. It was also the pattern that made me finally buy Knit. Sock. Love. I’m knitting it in a HPKCHC sock knit-along during the month of August. Excitement abounds!

I’m not sure the top of this sock is going to fit around my fat leg. I’m quite well proportioned length-wise above the knee, but my calf runs pretty well straight to my heel after that. Hopefully, the ribbing will be friendly. The color of this yarn is sooooooo pretty!

Wow, these socks are tough! That’s something coming from me! I finally figured out the travel round and read through all the little footnotes several times (I’m not crazy about the layout of this pattern in the book). I cannot keep track of the markers, but I’m trying. The cuff looks like it will fit after all, so I won’t have to frog unless I make an egregious error or decide this is too much for me. I really like the challenge, I just have to power through each step until it’s done or I’ll get lost. That eats a lot of my day, haha. It’s okay, I was going to spend it knitting anyway. :D Onward!

The color isn’t wrong in any of the photos, but the last photo should show the purple wash in it a bit better.
