Mods:

• 10 row ribbed cuff instead of 27 rows
• S1, K1 heel flap for reinforcement

I made my then-fiancee a pair of socks for Xmas last year, and thought it would make a nice tradition.


I should call these “1 Week Socks” - that’s how fast they knit up!


12/17: Knitting both simultaneously on DPNs to keep the stripes matching. I’m splicing together Kureyon scraps. CO and knit the cuffs + 5 rows tonight.


12/18: One week ‘til Xmas - better knit faster! Finished about 4” on each sock today.


12/19: Knit the heel flaps.


12/22: Turned the heels plus about 1” on each sock today.


12/24 - 9pm: It’s 9pm on Xmas Eve, and I just finished sock #1!


12/24 - 11:50pm: Finished 2nd sock, but have decided the first sock is too short, so I’m frogging the new toe and re-knitting it.


12/25 - 1:20am: Yay! Finished re-knitting sock toe #1!


12/25 - 1:45am: Ends woven in on both socks…


12/25 - 2am: Wrapped and under the tree!!
