Resurrected for Ravelympics 2010
2/25/10 (Later still): Done! I think it warrants a name change, from ‘Wrong Number’ to ‘Poppin’ Fresh’ - haha!
2/25/10 (Later): Spun an extra 10 yards to finish it up!
2/25/10: Hoping that 3rd time is the charm on how many stitches I need for the last bit! Inc after every 4th stitch to 56 stitches. STILL too small! On 7th row, inc after every 5th stitch: 67 stitches. Looks good, but OOPS!, I’ve gotta spin a few more yards to finish!
2/24/10: Adding the new yarn! Switched to US10 needles, switched from reverse stockinette to stockinette over same # of stitches (42): too small. Increased after every 5th stitch: too small. Frogged back again, will start again tomorrow.
2/22/10: Spun a plain singles to coordinate, using the same fiber; thought about plying w/ the copper metallic thread, but decided it might detract. Will not be setting the twist, ‘cuz I’m hoping for some nicely biased stitching.
10/29/09: Got stuck ‘cuz it was waaaay too many stitches that I cast on; was going to frog it and start over, but had it with me at SOAR & Jimbobspins helped me brainstorm ‘til we came up with a kind of beret idea. Need to spin an accompanying yarn ‘cuz I ran out.
Oh, knitting it top-down, btw.
8/6/08: Abandoned UFO; goal: finish during Ravelympics 2008.
Been wanting to make this into a hat for awhile now, and I’m liking the way this yarn works up, but I can’t decide if I like the knit side or the purl side better…
