I think this will be a good first project for a novice lace knitter. Okay, I changed my mind. Too complicated for me right now.

5/1/10: I modified a set of bamboo needles to have DIY pointy lace needles. They work great!

4/6/10: Cast on. In an attempt to reduce the likelihood of my yarn becoming tangled, I wound it into a cake & placed it inside a small ziploc bag; cut the corner & fed the yarn through - DIY yarn bra!

Only 1 row in to lace chart, I now understand HOW important pointy needles are! Going to set aside my beloved Addi Turbos until I can get a pair that work better for lace.

4/4/10: I’m alpaca-averse, but this purple is scrumptious; picked it up today (’bought’ with credit!) at Sit ‘n’ Knit at YARN in Eureka.
