I made this using my own handspun and added a vintage masonic pin from my great-uncle and the tassel from my bachelor’s mortar board, using my own improvised pattern.

I spun the yarn for the March 2, 2007 Fiber Friday challenge ‘Cabin Fever,’ and I named the skein I kept ‘Blood Fever’, referring to spring weather on the northcoast, as in: “If this #@%&ing rain doesn’t stop, things are going to get bloody around here!”

Think I’ll wear it for Halloween this year; I could be a shriner! (Now all I need is a wee car…)
