Measurements

Tea cosy for my 2 cup teapot. Decided to go for a more art deco look.

Height of teapot: 6 inches
Circumference: 16 inches

Top shaping

Cast on 62 sts, knitting sections of 6 sts instead of 8.

Reduce to 5 sts per section in row 40, which means at 4 inches, right side. knit tree ridges, then reduce by 1 st every 4 rows / 2 ridges until there are 3 sts left in every section. from now on reduce 1 st per ridge until there are 5 sts left. place sts on a holder.

Very pretty tea cosy. It could have benefited from perhaps 3 more ridges before shaping, but I don’t mind.

Did an i-cord spiral at the top. The design came out very art-deco, and it felt wrong to add a pom pom or an extravagant floral arrangement :)
