looks like the closest I’ll get to gauge is using 4mm needles, which gives me 10,5 sts to 2 inches, 15 rows to 2 inches. Rib for 4 1/2 inches, start main stitch, inc every 9th row.

The armscye instructions give the usual 2 inches reduction in width, but if I follow the instructions as written the yoke will be too wide. I’ll reduce number of stitches to 77 when I start on the yoke as I don’t want it wider than 15 inches, which will be more than sufficient.

The back is supposed to be knitted without side increases, and with a narrower yoke. I don’t want to do that, so I’ll do side increases same as the front.

The sleeve instructions look fine, so I’ll most likely follow them as written, except for the ribbed cuff.

Started the sleeves today. Knitting both at the same time. Cast on 50 sts per sleeve, will do a 4 inch ribbing, then increase as per pattern.

I added a back slit opening (button closure) to the back yoke to make sure I’ll be able to get the jumper over my head. When I first made a swatch the gauge came out a little wider at 10.5 sts per 2 inches, when I started the yoke it seems it tightened up to 11 sts per inch, so the yoke came out just a smidgeon larger than 14 inches. I hope that will look alright. I don’t fancy redoing the yokes.

Knitting sleeves is such a bore. Just finished the 11th increase, just 6 more to go.

Nearly there, just have to stitch up the sleeves, attach them to the jumper and do the finishing touches.

It was an easy enough knit, but the stitch pattern got tedious when I got to the sleeves. Very happy to be done with them :)

Added photos, will try to get better ones later on. The lighting conditions in our flat are really rubbish and does odd things to colours. The jumper is really a lovely moss green.
