Not completely happy with how the ends curl, so I decided to sew a foldover seam around the top. I haven’t done the same at the bottom, though I may, since it bugs me a bit too.

I was so excited about this pattern, but sadly it fell a little short of expectations. The yarn is gorgeous, and I love the fair isle, but it just doesn’t sit the way I thought it might. Maybe I should have chosen a wool with more drape in it; regardless, it’s still gorgeous, and I love the St Denis yarn, which I will definitely use again. For a first go at fair isle, I guess this is pretty successful.

22 March: Have been knitting this for two days and am completely smitten by the St Denis Nordique. Such gorgeous colours, and lovely and smooth to work with. The same goes for the brand new HiyaHiya circular needles that I bought along with this yarn -- these needles are divine!
