Notes

I showed this to the sock class I was teaching as an example of a spectacularly bad marriage of yarn colour and pattern. In the hank the yarn read as mostly purple, to the point where I thought it might even be suitable for my husband. It also seemed more uniform and less striped. Once I wound it and started knitting it though, fairly obvious pink stripes started appearing. This wasn’t going to work. You can barely even see all the complicated patterning against the colour variegation.

I persisted though. A friend saw them and liked them, so I’m gifting them to her. The pattern was interesting, and the “diaper knitting” kept me on my toes. The lace section was quickly memorized.

I just really, really hate the colour now.
