I’m really happy with how this came out. I’m looking forward to sharing the pattern with others once I give it one more work through.

Some how I missed that this was self striping when I bought it…at least I’m getting a chance to make my pattern again though.

…and then I realized that my original concept for the starting row, is all wrong. So I’m re-working the whole pattern. At least I got the right weight yarn this time.

…I don’t think I’ve ever had to frog something this many times before. Still, it does look lovely, so I think it’s worth it.

…It didn’t actually take me long to crochet this, but since blocking was such a crucial step I waited until actually got it blocked before claiming to be done with it. Just for the fun of it I put a before, during and after shot. This is why blocking is our friend! Since the yarn I was using had animal and man made fibers I steam blocked it with my iron.
