The pattern as written doesn’t work for me, so I’m attempting to redesign it.

Chained 73 and made 9 shells. Row 2, following increase row A: Inc, sc, inc, v-stitch x 6, inc, sc, inc.

Following the pattern increases, I continued on until row 24, when I started making the edge straight.

I connected the armholes on row 30. Work until the first marker, chain 48, connect to the second marker, work to the third marker, chain 48, connect to the fourth marker, work to end. On the next row, I made 6 shells in the chain.

After that, I followed the pattern as written.

I finished the bust at row 54, or 6.5” beneath the armhole (I have big boobs). The empire waist circumference is 44”. My swatch measured 6”, so this gives me a total of 221 sc stitches to make.

Sleeves were extended by 10 rounds.
