This is a lovely simple pattern that is good for that special skein of very variegated yarn. It’s a four-row repeat that is good for travel and social knitting. I put bead on the beginning stitch of rows 3 and 4, and then in the garter rows at the end.

I also decided to play “yarn chicken” for an ESK badge. The rules for the badge state that you must have less than 20 yards of leftover yarn. I used my yarn meter to measure the remaining and ended up with 59 feet, which is 1 foot less than 20 yards. Last year I played yarn chicken and ended up with a 3” tail. I have no middle ground.
