17 oct - more swatching that turned into some garment pieces. i made the two pocket linings watching tv, just to check how the yarn knits up - lovely. will put it on hold for a while now.
20 oct - just swatching the ribbing now for one of the sleeves (although having just knit the joy sleeve i don’t think i’ll do beyond the ribbing, it’s just that i brought the ball for the sleeve downstairs and couldn’t be bothered going up again). hmm, twisted rib - i do like it.
23 oct - finished left front to end of armhole decreases but will have to knit back first in order to continue - need to know what back measurements are
26 oct - finished back ribbing, bit of a marathon and started on st st section
29 oct - finished back. took all yarn from original sleeve plus a bit more. can now complete front bit that calls for 19 rows less than back bit. wonder if i might have to do short sleeves …
30 oct - finished left front. concerns about having enough yarn for sleeves … cast on for right front, did excellent vogue one row buttonhole. realised that have quite some yarn left over from front. should be ok.

dec 5 - oh dear, have been distracted by the pimlico snug. have done right front and have sewn one shoulder seam. will do other tomorrow and collar maybe - v excited.
dec 6 - did other shoulder seam last night too. tried it on but not really possible to tell how/whether it will fit, given current, uh, measurements. need to do bands before can do collar. need to go upstairs to get 3.25mm needles.

5 feb - at it again. 8 rows of second sleeve cuff.
11 feb - 24 rows from last inc in sleeve to cast off for armscye; done 9 of them
14 feb - finished sleeve. hooray, all main parts done. have blocked one sleeve, other sleeve and right front blocking now.
16 feb - unpinned blocking. will have to block other front and back separately bc they are seamed together!
22 feb - blocking half of other front
1 mar - all blocked, worked third of button band
2 mar - button band complete, will block it to see if it’s the right length.
4 mar - blocked button band last night, have to work on buttonhole band plus holes in the right places!
20 mar - buttonhole band done
24 mar - buttonhole band blocking
27 mar - picked up sts for collar, worked 11 rows
28 mar - have done the first of the 10 alt row increases; 19 rows to go
29 mar - meh, frogged back to first increase, did it again as a knit st which i think is the default for M1.
5 apr - still going on collar, 4 rows to go. it’s hard work.
6 apr - one row to go!! and the bind off. exhausting work.
28 apr - finally blocked collar and pocket band
18 jun - getting there. seamed on buttonbands, finished one pocket. appear to be missing a button …
19 jun - found the button, appears i had sewed it on
21 june - decided that today would be the day and that i would do all the seaming and all the ends and affix all the buttons. and i did.
