Cast on this sweater to try and take my mind off Holly, my cat who is very ill.
14/08/08 Seperating the sleeves and body.
Holly update: She’s improving everyday :)
15/08/08 Finished the boring part the stocking st of the body. Starting on the bottom cables, this is where the fun starts!
Holly update: I had to share part of my supper with her!
18/08/08 Finished body and cable section! I’m hoping I have enough yarn for the sleeves.
22/08/08 Finshed one sleeve. 55gm remaining of the 4th skein, I will need to go into the 5th skein for the other sleeve.
24/08/08 Cables on cuff remaining then finished!! Yay!! and Holly says Yay! too :)
25/08/08 Finished! Just used a little of the 5th skein.
Notes:
Was a little worried about the size of this, it was ever so small and the fear was I was never going to fit into this. Shown in photos, modelled on my lil sis prior to blocking, it’s a perfect fit for her and I was considering gifting it to her….but nah…..no way!
The DIC Classy grew and it’s blocking perfectly, the correct size too, thank goodness. The arms grew in length and I did less rows than what the pattern called for and the overall length of the sweater grew too.
I feel its a success and I love it so much that I will make another, possibly a bigger size for that extra ease!
Note to myself: Concentrate on row 35 of the sleeve chart, you got it mixed up several times! I’m so pleased with the way it’s turned out and Holly is improving everyday. I feel she will sleep on top of this whilst it’s blocking! The lil rascal!
