Notes

Very quick to knit and a lovely lacy pattern.

I was worried about the sizing, the textured pattern meant it knitted up quite small and slim. I had swatched etc but until it was blocked I remained quite stressed by it. Why did I worry? The fit was perfect.

I made quite a few modifications, as follows-

Firstly, because other people had complained about the loose button bands, I didn’t knit these up with the body. I reduced the number of stitches cast on and then picked up stitches along the edges for the bands. This gave a much better tension. I also made nine button holes to make sure there were no gaping.

I changed the double moss stitches edges to single moss stitch throughout.

For the body, I created a waist shaping by reducing the size of the needles on the second, third and fourth pattern repeats before returning to the correct size. In total I did seven pattern repeats to the armholes.

I made the neckline less square and more rounded.

I used short rows for the shoulders and joined them with a three needle bind off.
