I was so inspired by this link, that I just had to make “a few” of my own:

Here’s what I did:
Basically, bought those little wooden spools that look like wooden flower pots, round balls to glue on top, and wooden beads for the noses. I then filled them in with wood putty and painted them in Acrylic Flesh paint.
Hat:
C/O 24 stitches in the round
Purl 5 rows
K15 rows
Decrease row: K1, k2tog around (16 stitches)
K10 rows
Decrease Row: K1, K2 tog, K1 around (12 stitches)
Knit 10 rows
Decrease row: K2 tog, knit to last 2 stitches, K2 tog (10 stitches)
Knit 7 rows
Decrease row: K2tog, knit to last 2 stitches, K2 tog (8 stitches)
Knit 7 rows
Decrease row: K2 tog, knit to last 2 stiches, K2 tog (6 stitches)
Knit 5 rows, pull string through remaining 6 stitches.
Insert half a pipe cleaner and bend to taste. Glue on tiny pom pom to end.
Body:
C/O 24 stitches
Purl 5 rows
Knit 15 rows
Purl 5 rows
Bind off
