This project was my constant companion on back & forth ferry trips between Vancouver Island and Vancouver, to help M while he was being diagnosed with Crohn’s. It cheered me up with its beautiful colour & construction and kept my mind busy in a difficult time .
14/08/15. Knitting done! Blocking to come.
14/08/12 Border! A few technical glitches on my part in this and Lace #6. As long as I keep counting to 6 or 12 I can usually make it work. Can’t wait to BO and see it in all its splendor! This shawl has been a perfect summer knit: light, one skein, easy to carry, some mindless knitting with a few intricate parts.
14/08/06. Lace #6, getting there! Colour is still amazing! Can’t wait to see the shape.
14/07/31 Lace pattern #5. I’m being rather monogamous with this project. This must mean that it’s slightly addictive. Max stitches now so each row takes a while to complete.
It’s lace, so means I will have to soak & stretch the heck out of this when done.
14/07/29. Just finished increasing to more than 500 stitches…
14/07/25 Working Star-Rib Mesh #4 and hope I don’t mess-up. Stitch count has been perfect so far. Windy knitting on the sundeck of Tsawassen/Schwartz Bay ferry.
14/07/24 This project is so fun to make! Knit to Row 82 while in Ralph River. Even took it on a rainy voyage to Yuquot aboard the Uchuck III. Now taking the Departure Bay ferry to Horseshoe Bay to take M. to an appointment. This will become The-Shawl-of-Many-Boat-Rides.
14/07/20. Have been wanting to knit a Pi Shawl ever since reading EZ’s “Knitting Almanac” a few years ago.
