I began knitting when I was young. I don’t remember when or who taught me, probably my mom, but it always made me feel good about myself. Each project I worked on I forced myself to build my existing skills, resolving problems to overcome obstacles in order to make unique knit items. My hope is for others to enjoy the items I make and the designs I create so as to appreciate the historic art of needlework.
Here in Boise, Idaho the gem state I continue to knit every day. I have made some items just to challenge myself, but I also make items on commission. Each item is in a sense a lone work of art.
