Hi, I’m Melanie, and I’ve been knitting since my senior year of high school (as of 2024 that makes two decades of knitting). I’ve come a long way from my very first project--a bright purple scarf knit with eyelash yarn that had LOTS of holes from dropped and miss-knit stitches.

My favorite knitting projects are the ones that are practical, but have a bit of whimsy. I love literature inspired designs, and anything with a leaf motif is destined to be an instant hit with me!

I enjoy helping knitters expand their skills. My patterns all incorporate video tutorials to illustrate more difficult techniques in an effort to make more difficult patterns accessible to ambitious beginners.

In addition to this, good fit is very important to me, both as a knitter, and a designer. Where possible, my adult patterns include alteration guides so that knitters can achieve the best fit possible for their body type.
