Nuria Álvarez

Hi! I’m Nuria, a biologist and autoimmunity researcher with a serious crochet habit.
Under the name Nunu Crochets, I design amigurumi patterns inspired by science (yes, you can crochet a T cell) and nature, including a growing collection of cactus amigurumis. My patterns are published bilingually in English and Spanish.

For me, crochet is the perfect way to switch off from the lab and do something with my hands that doesn’t involve pipettes. If you’re a fellow science nerd, a plant lover, or just someone who appreciates a pattern that comes in two languages, you’re in the right place.

All my patterns are available in my Ravelry store. Hope you enjoy them!
