Tasha Miller Griffith
My six-word memoir is “take stale bread, make French toast.” This pretty much sums up my attitude about life – that most of what you need, you already have in some form, you just have to figure out how to use it. I have a curiosity that drives me to get to the bottom of everything, and figure out how to make it myself. What interests me the most about knitting is figuring out how it works, although I do love the useful and beautiful things I get as a result!
My mission is to inspire and empower everyone to reclaim some hand-making skills. It’s good for your soul, it’s good for the planet, it’s good for everything.
I teach knitting, natural dyeing, felting, and sewing at folk schools and fiber events around the country, and in my home town of Flagstaff, AZ. I’ve written for Taproot and Seamwork magazines. You can visit my site for free tutorials on knitting, sewing, mending, plus recipes and inspiration. You can also find me on Instagram @frenchtoastasha
