My 5th grade teacher taught our entire class to knit. I knitted off more than on for years. But when my husband passed away in 2006, I was desperate for something to pass the time and take my mind off of poor little me, so I began to knit. I was so blessed to find the most wonderful LYS (L & B Yarn in Norman, OK) and knitting community that enveloped me with open arms. They loved me and got me through a very hard time. They truly saved my life. I’ve been knitting like a maniac ever since.
