Description 8 Shades of K is a square blanket which is a mash up of eight of my square patterns. This blanket is for intermediate to advanced crocheters. You will need the following patterns:
Clara Squared
Cockles of my Heart Squared
Daisy Chain Squared
Georgia Squared
Jennifer Squared
Klaziena Squared
Mariola Squared
Meranda Squared
which are included in this purchase. However if you already have some or all of these patterns, you can get the 8 Shades of K blanket recipe for free from my Facebook Group (see below).
Yarn: Any yarn can be used for this blanket, as long as you use the hook recommended for the yarn. I recommend a 4 to 6 ply yarn. The amount required will depend on the size you decide to make your project.
My projects: I’m estimating 6400 m of Wolle Amore 50% bamboo/50% acrylic for an 8 Shades of K, and 7500 m for a 9 Shades of K—using a 2.75 mm hook.
I used 9250 m of KoKonki Motki Ombre (50% cotton, 50% acrylic) in granat, szafir, jasny niebieski and jasny szary. 3.5 mm hook. King size. Best order 9500 m to allow for variation in crochet style. I estimate 12000 m in total to make a 9 Shades of K.
