I learned to knit in high school from my mom, but quickly gave up as I was slow but also impatient for results!
Tried again in college and finally finished a scarf I’d started in high school. Gave it up again after a few months because I was still slow and impatient.

Picked knitting up again last fall, for some reason my hands were itching to do it again. And it’s still sticking!
