Crocheted the 0-3 months size but it may not actually fit a newborn unless its a big baby… And the hat might be a TA bit too deep? I don’t know because I have no model :(

I use a 9 mm hook for the hat and crocheted rounds 1-2 and 4-5 as directed but altered round 3 by only crocheting one HDC in each stitch. I repeated rounds 4-5 once and then made the earflaps with 15 SC for the string.

For the ears, I used the 9 mm hook and bulky yarn to crochet two inner ears (as the outer ear) and a 5 mm hook and worsted weight yarn to crochet two outer ears (serves as my inner ears). Basically, I just switched what was outer and inner because of the weights of yarn.

Overall, one of the cutest hats I’ve ever crocheted. The yarn wasn’t even that bad after I got past the first couple rounds.
