I started these socks after my nutkins fail. The pattern is very simple and easily memorized after a repeat or two. I made no modifications to the pattern, except I did my own thing on the heel and toe. I think they are the same as the ones used in the book, but I just did these from memory.

The knit picks kettle dye is 2 different shades even though they are from the same dyelot. Knit Picks is changing out their 2 skeins for a pair of socks for 1 skein for a pair in order to correct this dyelot issue.
