I have 46g left in a lovely red (after some short socks) and I get perfect gauge, so that sounds like a match to me.
6.5 repeats to get hand length.

Love how these are constructed and love the ribbed thumb crossing over into the cufftwo_hearts. Stretchy fabric and quite warm in the yarn I used.
