Doubling worsted weight cotton. I am less concerned with the gauge and more with the fabric, so using 6mm needle as was not dense enough on 7s. I did the neck and breast in double white, then switched to one grey, one white and then to double grey at the undertail.

I got confused at the end of the short-row sections about which is the wrong and the right side. The last shortrow is wrong-side, then you w&t and knit to end, i e you end on right side? And then I may have got turned around - luckily it wont make that much of a difference, except for a few increase bumps. I’m not sure if the last knit through row in short row description is really part of the next garter section, but i think it might make sense to think of it as that. I don’t often knit things twice, but if I do I would probably do that. The other option is no w&t on the last wrong side shortrow, but just knit through.

Again at the head when the final shortrows for a and b side of head is done, the pattern does not say whether to knit through (or its confusing about the decrease row - maybe that was the knit through?) or whether to cut and re-attach yarn at side b. I knit through.

There is mention of a crochet chain at the leg setion, but I have no idea what this refers to… did I miss something? I might leave the feet, I can’t decide…

The pattern shape turns out very well - very goose like with some careful stuffing and weighting. I love this goose for a doorstop. In the end I left out the feet.
