I loved the lacy collar on surly’s Large Lace Collar bohus sweater, so I decided to see if I could improvise something similar for my own. I came up with this and made a headband to test it.

I used about 35 yards of Classic Elite Fresco with a gauge of 6.75 stitches/inch in pattern on size 2.5US (3.00 mm) needles. The collar on my bohus will be smaller.

CO 96 stitches with #2.5 US (3.00 mm) circular needle, or size to obtain gauge. Place marker and join to work in the round. Knit first round and then work two repeats of chart plus first three additional rows.
