Jul 07-08, Study the pattern, transfer to graphic form.
Jul 09-11, Make gauge using different yarn & hook.
Jul 13, Start foundation Row 0: Ch116 and Row 1.
Row 0: Ch 116 = ch 55 (left) + ch 1 (back neck point) + ch 55 (right) + ch 5 (turning)
Row 1 explain:
2 dc (in 6th ch fm hook) + 54 dc
- 3 dc (in back neck point) + 2 ch (center) +3 dc (in back neck point)
- 54 dc + 3 dc (in last ch).
Jul 14, Tried 3 times, arrived Row 4 with 72 Puffs!
Row 2 explain:
ch 3 + 1 puff-over-ch + (1 puff + 1 ch) x 30 times
- 1 puff (center ch-2 space) + 1 ch (center) + 1 puff (center ch-2 space) + ch 1
- (1 puff + 1 ch) x 29 times + 1 puff (over last dc and 4th ch of t-ch) + 1 ch + 1 puff (in 3rd ch of t-ch). So, you will get total 64 Puffs.
Row 3 explain:
5 ch + 2 dc (in 1st puff) + 1 dc (in next ch) + 1 dc (in next puff) x 31 times
- 3 dc (in center ch-space) + 2 ch + 3 dc (in center ch-space)
-
1 dc (in next puff + 1 dc (in next ch) x 31 times + 3 dc (in last puff). That is “5 ch + 67 dc + 2 ch + 68 dc”.
Row 4 explain:
ch 3 + 1 puff-over-ch + ch 1 + (1 puff + 1 ch ) x 34 times
- 1 puff (center ch-2 space) + 1 ch (center) + 1 puff (center ch-2 space) + ch 1
- (1 puff + 1 ch ) x 33 times + 1 puff (over last dc and 4th ch of t-ch) + 1 ch + 1 puff (in 3rd ch of t-ch). Now, total 72 puffs.
Mistake was at Row 2: forgot the ONE chain between puff and puff, two times. Be careful that although you got 64 Puffs at Row 2, you still could make mistakes.
