Notes

. Cast-on 80 stitches, with a dark color (to showcase the pretty color of body of hat) work a k2, P2 rib for 2”. *
If making a child’s hat, repeat from to * changing the rib from 2” to 2.5 or 3”. Change yarn to a fun OR shocking OR multicolored yarn yarn of approx. 1oz. Of worsted yarn and have fun changing from garter stitch to stst to different rib or cable stitches as it pleases you for 6”, Dec to 8 sts, end off. This is what I do while working on a big project to keep from getting anxious/edgier/bored as I am sure it relates to AD/HD or something like that. I also use these little hats to try out different stitch patterns before jumping into an untried pattern of larger projects and making a gauge swatch that will not need to be ripped out later and the yarn wasted ;-} More pics of other hats to come !!!
