Not sure what this yarn will be made into. Probably a very lacy shawl. I have 4 oz of camel down and when I ply it with tussah silk I should have a good amount of yardage.
Started the bobbin of tussah silk. It is a little lighter than I remembered tussah being, so I’m not sure I will use it for plying. Then again, I had thought about dyeing this yarn when it is finished… We’ll see…

I finished a skein of this and I love it! The bottom picture is after washing the one just above it was before washing. Just over 2 oz. and about 540 yards. If I want to do the featherweight with this I will need another skein. I think I want to ;-)

Almost finished with another bobbin of the silk ply. The camel takes a little longer. Anxious to swatch, but have another sweater that must take precedence!

This is one of my TdF goals. I am in the middle of plying the second skein. I think this skein is a little heavier than the first. Shoot! I thought I was being consistent, but while plying noticed the difference. Slight, but will probably be noticeable without alternating skeins in the knitting.

Plied the second skein. 340 yards at about 1.5 ounces. So, yes, it a little thicker. 240 yds per oz. as compared to about 270 yds per oz.

Plied the third skein. It looks more like the weight of the second one than the first. The silk ply is a little heavier. Still need to wash before I measure and weigh. (Came out at 200 yds per oz. and 440 yds.)

Another 367 yards. About 1.5 ounces. 238 yds per ounce.
That gives me a total of just over 1600 yards and about 6 oz.
