Started by making towel #7 from the class. Rose 8/4 pattern weft and purplish gray 10/2 tabby weft. The tabby weft is a slightly lighter color than than the gray warp. Pattern calls for 8/2 tabby but I think most of my yarn is 10/2--much of it I’m not sure of.
The towel treadling is listed as “treadling summer and winter.” Since I’m not familiar with summer and winter weave structure this means not much to me, but I liked the photo of the towel with it’s strong diagonal lines. Didn’t quite get the color change in the middle of the points, I would have had to split the block to do that, I guess. Makes sense now that I think about it. So the top of the point is the gray weft. The design won’t really be super visible until after washing. My favorite thing--that magical transformation! But it also means that mistakes are hard to see. I’ve done a lot of unweaving to double check my work!
