Quilt that I started while in High School. It is made of scraps of different sewing projects (mostly clothing) made by me or my mom. Maybe a few fabrics are from my sister’s sewing projects, too.

Abandoned sometime in college (80s). Picked up a few times between then and now. Most significantly a few years ago when I washed all the pieces, ironed them and took stock. For some reason I had made it super long (longer than a bed) so I unsewed the blocks from the bottom.

Decided to make each strip 19 squares long and make 15 strips across. Almost half was strips already sewn into a block and it looked like I would need about 40 additional squares. I had to add additional solid fabric, but all the prints are pre-1980.

Quilt top is finished! Now I just need to decide what to use to back it and what design to hand quilt. Hope it doesn’t take me another 40 years for that!
