Needed a quick project to start and take with me on the trailer pick up trip at Pismo. I also was motivated to continue using leftovers. So I grabbed this sock yarn and cast on a pair of shorty socks.
I didn’t get very far during the Pismo weekend (to the heel turn on the first sock) but I sat down and finished the first one yesterday.
CO 68 stitches. 16-16-16-20. Then I have to be careful to have half the stitches when I do the heel. I used a few extra straight rows in the toe to keep the “toe box” wider. Bound off when I got to 14 stitches on each side (7-7-7-7). I think I prefer a bind-off with 16 stitches each side, but I decided to go for the two extra rows of length with a little less width and it fits well.
