I was using bulky yarn so I cast on 72 stitches rather than what the pattern called for. I used size 10 needles and didn’t have one with a short cable so I used magic loop on one with a long cable. I kept the stitch counts for the cable in the hat pattern the same. The hat turned out great. I will definitely make this again, but I don’t think I’ll do it in one day again. My knuckles are sore this morning. ;-)
