Improvised Catan-based afghan for my gamer kids.

Hexagons from the center out. End at 28 stitches per side. (tried 32 stitches, but it’s too big)

Plan to graft the hexes as they are knitted.

Need
1 Desert
4 Field
4 Forest
4 Pasture
3 Quarry
3 Mountain
Undetermined number of border hexes. I’ll figure that out later.

I knitted a LOT of border hexes from blue. After grafting all the other pieces together, I realized that I’d still need a bunch more and the afghan would be HUGE.

Decided to knit on the border, pulling the blue out of the already knit blue hexes.

Required some math calculation. Short rows at the angles between the hexes. Then again more short rows to form up the outer angles to create the giant hex to match the game.
