Super cute stripes and hearts socks! A great Valentines knit …

Worked cuff ribbing for 18 rows, and sock leg for 8 sets of the stripe pattern before starting heel flap. Would actually prefer an even taller sock top, but using leftover stash yarn for these socks and was uncertain if I would have enough of the white for the foot if I made the top taller. Plan on knitting a second pair with different colors and will make sure I pick colors of which I will have enough to make a taller sock leg.

Used US #1 needles for sock cuff, heel flap and turn, and US #1-1/2 for sock leg, gusset and foot. Will use smaller needles next time.

Fun socks! Knit as per pattern instructions.

One small thing that I would do differently the next time is to work the heel for the second sock over the second set of 32 sts so as to avoid the beginning of row jog line at color change being on the same side of both socks. I prefer jog lines to carry along the inside of the leg and foot on both socks so as to avoid the appearance of wearing two left socks.
