His hands are much bigger than mine! This is secret knitting … once he leaves for the office, I pull this project out … and knit as fast as I can. When he is home, I’m working on a pair of socks - slowly. He doesn’t notice that I make very little progress on those socks. Sneaky knitting! Tehehehehehe, I love sneaky knitting. One year I made him six different hats for Chistmas. That was a lot of sneaky knitting! He loves them all, and still wears them daily. Lucky man that scientist! He will love these gloves!

Keeping the colors as Mr. Manly as possible, subtle, rather drab actually. Just a little pop of red. I would like a pair of these myself … brighter colors though, and definitely a more feminine choice in colors. Will swatch with US #1s … maybe even 0s … in order to have this pattern fit properly on my ladies size small hands.

All leftover bits of Knitpicks Palette … except the charcoal heather is Jamieson & Smith, which is just about the very last of the J & S in my leftovers basket. Oh how I have enjoyed working with that brand of yarn. The absolute best for colorwork! So sticky, it almost knits itself.

I keep trying these mitts on … they are huge on my small hands. Once I bought him cycling gloves … they were a men’s size large. I tried those on too … they were huge on me - but fit him perfectly. If these are too large for him, I will soak them in the hottest water, then in cold … shock them into shrinking a bit - for a perfect fit … only if necessary.

I love our small town library. Went online in search of this book, placed a free hold … and ran over and checked the book out. So very convenient! A big thank you to the friendly staff at my local library!

BTW, CO 60 rather than 50 for the 1 x 1 ribbed cuff, then increased to 72 for body of glove. Like that look better.
