In this sash, I made a plain weave pattern in the center flanked by rows of pickup along both sides. Although I don’t usually, in this one I picked up all of the pattern threads all of the time. Usually there are some speckles where the pattern threads show up in plain weave. This has made for a very interesting 3-D effect.
