My first lace project. It was a birthday gift for my sister in law Nichole. It was very pretty!

I originally started with a different yarn and had not paid attention to the weight of the yarn, thinking “sure that will work!” Not only did it not work, it looked really strange!

I had 4 balls of the Capretta and it was perfect! This was my first try at blocking as well. I did do a crochet border along the straight edge and I think that I did not do it very well. It still turned out to be very pretty. I had purchased the large puzzle mats at Sam’s and they worked very well!

My sister in law loved it!

(This is also my third major project aside from lots of dish cloths and wash cloths)
