The darker pictures of the shawl are more accurate. My camera has a hard time with dark colors and not washing them out.

Cast on 200 and holding Malabrigo double. I swatched several different combos but liked this best.

I picked up and knit the ruffle after 16” on the body and the ruffle is 5.5” long. The width without ruffle is 68” and with ruffle, 79”. These are unblocked measurements. I used just short of 10 skeins. I held the yarn double as per the instructions and alternated a third skein to limit any pooling. It probably would have been fine with the 2 skeins, having one run out before the other and blending the new ones in, but it was not much more difficult to have the third skein attached and waiting to swap out with a strand every 2 rows.

I picked up a few more than 50 stitches along the sides and added a knit front and back on the corners after the ribbing just before the ruffle pattern and it seems to want to lay pretty flat unblocked. I used the pattern instructions for the ruffle and really like the way it turned out.

The yarn has been bleeding dark purple on my hands the entire knit and I hope to wash the excess out. I love the yarn and am happy with the weight and feel as well as the color.
