Notes

This is one of two scarves worked on the same warp. 5 yard warp total, scarves ended up a bit more than two yards each, with about 4.5” twisted fringe.

About 20 epi, double strands of weft. Beginning and end of scarf done in single strand, beaten tightly to hold hemstitching. Both ends hemstitched.

Scarf started in clasped weft with bobbins of different colors. Tried to do a graduated block scheme, 8 picks per block, working across the scarf and back again. Hard to keep the edges of the blocks aligned well, so they are raggedy looking.

About halfway through the weaving, the colors aligned perfectly. At about the same time, I got really frustrated with how it was turning out, so I did the rest of the scarf in a two strand weft. After a while, the colors of each bobbin I was using drifted apart slightly in the gradient, but overall, the effect is ok.
