Notes

5 yard warp for two scarves. This scarf has random clasped weft design. This colorway had high contrast between different parts of the gradient, so I decided to use a black warp to show it off. Stripes were relatively short runs, so there were a lot of color changes along the scarf. Wound the skein onto bobbins for my boat shuttles, numbered them in order. Wove one side of the scarf from the first half of the skein, the other from the second half. (bobbins 1-4, bobbins 5-8)

The brown really shows up well, and as it wove up, it looks like it runs from side to side (although that effect was just the color popping up on the left bobbin just as the right one was running out, etc.)

I have to say, of all the scarves I’ve woven so far, I like this one the most! The black warp really makes the main colors pop, and it looks dramatic! Even though it’s wool/cottolin, the combo almost has a shiny look to it.
