Notes

Tried some leno lace panels on this scarf. Used a two bobbin boat shuttle and doubled the weft. This colorway is predominantly dark blue, with some lighter shades mixed in. Before washing, the leno was a little uneven looking, but after washing, the top/bottom of each pick evened out. Don’t really like what happened at the selvedges, though; it loosened up even though I left some strands of tabby weave to hold it tight. Guess not enough. Live and learn.

Wove 4” plain tabby for each single Leno pick. Each Leno pick was 2x2 strands, picked up on a closed shed with my fingers & then a shuttle stick to hold it.

Finished with twisted fringe. Did hemstitching on both ends with natural cottolin. I don’t know why I decided to go with a contrasting color, but it looks horrid and I will probably rip it out.
