I saw this pattern a while ago and fell in love. But I had no babies to make it for. Then I got the news that my niece is expecting the first great grand baby in the family. This is the perfect gift!
-All done the body. I love the way the yarn pooled just before the split for the arms It almost looks like tie dye.
-I took a plastic kinder egg shell and put some small screws into it and then needle felted a ball of wool around it to make the head. It’s just a little to big so I had to sew the top closed but this will be covered by the hat. Now his head is a rattle (you could say he’s got a few loose screws in his head LOL)
-Instead of trying to hide the stitching on the hat I stitched from the top and made duplicate stitches on every other stitch, it looks like a little row of Fairisle just above the brim.
