It took me 3 years to finnish it but it is done.
The problem was that I got a spinning wheel given to me (I know that is not really a problem) and I was determined to spin the whole thing on my drop spindle. so when I got my wheel it kind of hibernated for a few years. I really like it but the spiral created by the energy was lost in the blocking process. I still love the colour!!
I bought this roving because i fell in love
with the rich honey yellow the moment i saw it.
I wasn’t sure what i was going to do with it
but i had to have it.
Then my wonderful husband gave me the
Knitter’s Almanac for our anniversary and i knew
what i wanted to do.
I am knitting the shawl right off my drop spindle so that the yarn is full of energy.
The one picture shows quite well how the center has
a swirl to it. I hope this doesn’t bloc out.
I,m on the last increase rounds and have decided to do a variation on the gull wing pattern to make it look like a golden sun medallion with rays.
It’s getting there I,ve got to spin some more before I can knit more
June 30-Too many projects this one is kinda hibernating maybe i’ll get it done by Christmas?
Dec. 7 It’s always nice to sit and spin beside the Christmas Tree so here it goes. Maybe I will get it done by Christmas?
well it’s Jan 1 and it’s still not done. My new years resolution is to finnish all my UFO’s so maybe it’ll get done. I love the look and feel of it I know it will be gorgeous when it’s done Just need to finnish.
